Igor Sechin Visits GE Production Facilities and Engineering Centers in Great Britain and USA

As part of working trips to Great Britain and the USA on April 23-26, 2013 Igor Sechin, Rosneft President and Chairman of the Management Board, visited GE production facility of offshore and subsea solutions in Aberdeen (UK) and GE’s Global Research Center in Niskayuna (USA). As part of the visits he also held meetings with GE management: GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt, Senior Vice President and Chief technology Officer Mark Little, CEO and President of GE Oil & Gas Dan Heintzelman, and President and CEO of GE in Russia and CIS Ron Pollett.

GE has introduced Rosneft to unique engineering technologies and equipment that enable the achievement of maximum efficiency in full-cycle gas utilization, from power generation to LNG solutions, as well as technologies for offshore and subsea development, including Arctic offshore field development.

Commenting on the tour of GE facilities and engineering centers, Igor Sechin said: “Nowadays we are focusing our efforts on the sustainable growth of the oil and gas sector. To fulfill the potential of our large-scale projects, we need the most efficient, state-of-the-art technologies, including those localized in Russia. And it is evident that GE’s technological platform complies with this high-quality standard.”
