Preservation of the environment is an integral part of the corporate culture and business operations of Rosneft. The Company aims to achieve leadership positions in minimizing the environmental impact and ensuring the eco-friendliness of its production.

For the disposal of drilling waste, the enterprise uses modern technologies that have passed the state environmental examination. Nyaganneftegaz has reduced the failure rate of the transport system by 12.2% thanks to the implementation of the pipeline reliability improvement programme in 2020 compared to the same period in 2019. More than 60 kilometres of field pipelines have been replaced.

In 2020, the enterprise’s employees planted more than 280,000 tree seedlings as part of a reforestation programme. Siberian cedar pine and common pine are planted on an area of 70 hectares in the Oktyabrsky district of Ugra.
