Vladivostok, the capital of Primorsky Krai, hosted the closing ceremony of the First International Youth Student Games "Primorye Youth" sponsored by Rosneft. More than 500 athletes from Russia, Belarus, China, India, DPRK, and Uzbekistan took part in the Games.
The Games were held in Vladivostok, which was received the status of the Youth Capital of Russia this year. In total, there have been 383 medals awarded.
Following the results of the competitions, the winners in individual and team standings were determined. The team of the Republic of Belarus won the overall medal count, the team of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) took the second place, and athletes from the DPRK took the third place. The FEFU team became the undisputed leader in the number of awards. University athletes won 11 gold, 20 silver and 14 bronze medals.
Students competed on the sports grounds of the Far Eastern Federal University campus on Russky Island in 12 sports: badminton, basketball, boxing, beach volleyball, athletics, tennis, table tennis, swimming, indoor rowing, phygital basketball, mini-football, and chess.
In addition to sports tournaments, students participated in business meetings and creative events, as well as master classes from recognised athletes participating in the Heroes of Olympus project, including Olympic champions in boxing, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
Supporting mass, professional and youth sports and healthy lifestyles is one of the key areas of social work of Rosneft and its subsidiaries. The Company funds the construction of ice arenas, sports complexes and multi-purpose sports grounds in the regions of its operations.
With Rosneft's support, dozens of modern large-scale sports facilities have been opened in Russia's regions. The Company supports projects that develop and promote physical culture and healthy lifestyles.
Rosneft annually organises large-scale corporate sporting events, oil workers widely participate in the GTO test and in the Energy of Life sports and fitness movement, which has already been joined by over 106,000 employees of the Company.

The purpose of the I International Young Student Summer Games "Primorye Youth" is to unite young students from different countries of the world, to form a sense of sports unity and to promote a healthy lifestyle among the young generation.
Earlier, Rosneft was a partner of the I International Sports Games entitled "Children of Primorye", which are also held in the capital of Primorsky Krai. More than 1500 young athletes from Russia, Belarus and China took part in them.
