RN-Vankor (a subsidiary of Rosneft's oil and gas production complex), started delivery of cargo via the Yenisei River and the Northern Sea Route to production facilities located in the north of the Krasnoyarsk region. During the summer navigation period it is planned to deliver a record volume of cargo – about 1.5 million tonnes of materials and equipment.
326 fleet units will be engaged for transportation from the ports of Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Krasnoyarsk, Lesosibirsk and Dudinka, as well as from the ports of the rivers of the Ob‑Irtysh basin.
Oil companies plan to use 14 berths and five production bases to receive cargo in Taimyr–Buchta Sever, Tanalau, Karaul, Tochino, Vorontsovo, the port of Dudinka, as well as the terminals Chaika, Dixon and Severnaya Zvezda in the Yenisei Gulf of the Kara Sea and the bases of the Vankor and Suzunskoye fields located on the Bolshaya Kheta River.
Berthing facilities were prepared for unloading of cargoes ‑ works on shore reinforcement, preparation of storage areas, as well as all necessary environmental measures were carried out. Unloading operations will be carried out around the clock due to the short period of «high water» on the Bolshaya Kheta River.
The range of imported cargo includes steel structures, equipment, cable and pipe products, wagon-houses, cement and other materials for the construction of the Vostok Oil project facilities and maintenance of the existing infrastructure at the Vankor cluster fields.
The current construction season will see further pilot development of the Payakhskoye, Ichemminskoye and Baikalovskoye fields, construction of external transport facilities, including the Vankor–Payakha–Bay Severn oil pipeline, power supply facilities, logistics infrastructure, construction of hydraulic structures, shore reinforcement, expansion of onshore and wharf infrastructure, and construction of an oil loading berth at the Port Bukhta Severn terminal.
